Here is a self-portrait I did today in my backyard using the self-timer.
This was with Nikon D800, 85mm f/1.8.
Accidentally focussed on my shoulder. So sides of my hair = nice and sharp focus. Skin = nice and creamy smooth! How I like my skin at this age! :)
Not so many trees to blur in the background these days! They started removing trees from behind my yard last year to clear space for a trail and canoe path back there. I still feed the birds, but there are not so many now compared to before. Nor do I see deer any more. -Tho this year perhaps my lilies will actually be able to bloom, instead of get eaten by deer!
A more detailed picture of the trees from yesterday. There used to be so many trees, you could hardly see the sky at this angle. I shot this yesterday with the Fujifilm X-Pro2 and 56 mm f/1.4 lens. This was almost night. Two or three hours after sunset. Looking at EXIF data, I realize I haven't reset the clock in the camera. It looks to be set on Hawaii time or somewhere. (I added a vignette to where I wanted it. The lens has no vignetting.)
